C6 intermediate servo ?

Well guys I need some help. Was having tranny trouble and decided to change fluid and filter and adjust intermediate band. It wasn't shifting in to 2nd. When I took off the pan there was a part in the bottom. If you go to the Fordification home page, go to exploded view diagrams, click drivetrain, scroll way down to "Intermediate servo and band c6 typical" you will see part number 7D029. Please tell me this is easy to put back in. I'm thinking maybe the P.O. backed the adjusting nut to far out and caused this to come loose. Not sure if that is possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes that should be easy to put back in. i havent had a c6 open in a long time but you should be able to see where it goes between the band and the adjustment bolt.

Looks like i will have to drop the valve body to get to it.

yes i didn't think about that. just loosen the large headed bolts only to get that out.

Thanks fordman. Got it back together and it shifts great now. Taking out the valve body was what I was worried about, wasn't sure how to get it out in one piece.

i was getting kind of tired last night and didn't have my thinking cap on i guess. or maybe it fell off. im glad you didnt take all the bolts out. i hate to do that. those ballbearing have never marked where they go when they fall out. atleast none of them i have seen have.
