gear ratio

Post by 1970f100x »

My 70 f100 has a 9 inch rear end, and 3.23 gear ratio. Is this good, is it stock? Btw, it has a 360 in it.

3.23? are you sure it isn't 3.25. that is a standard size in these trucks. and is a good highway gear. to save gas you need a smaller number or to pull stumps out you need a larger number like 4.11

It's good either way. Most V8 automatics I have seen came with the 3.25
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.
