'71 F100 right I-beam??

Post by JimmieD »

Hi guys!

I kind of feel like a cat in the middle of a dog show... I'm NOT a 'Ford Guy' at all, only owned 2 Fords in my life, a long time ago. I'm a vintage Dodge fan, but hey, it's not Chove-me anyway!

Joined here and posting for a friend who is a diehard, rabid, foaming at the mouth FORD NUT! He doesn't have a computer, but he has a strong Ford truck attitude for life.

He needs a right side I-beam for his '71 Ford F-100 2x4. I'm trying to find him one, but have no idea of various years that interchange or any tech info, like you "..can NEVER..." or "...you ALWAYS NEED TO..." etc..

So, if there's one laying around somebody's garage, or some special info, I could use some help, for one of your distant brothers. He's a real good wrench but figured I'd ask in case there's some Ford secrets that apply. Also he's located near Bakersfield, CA.

p.s. the two Fords I did own were great, one a '65 F100, the other a '61 station wagon.

THANKS for any help!
