I can get some pictures of the FMX and its pan that I pulled out of my 70 this summer tommrow morning if you want. Also I think all an FMX is just a beefed up C4 or atleast that what my dad told me.

If the case is aluminum, it's a C4. If it's cast iron, it's an MX/COM

Fordman that looks like a COM transmission my 67 had one, though i think is a older style of c4 dunno. the external cooler and if the dip stick screws into the side of the pan its a COM If you want i can get you a picture of mine since its no longer attached to the engine and in the bed of the truck at this time.

Had to order from NPD cause none of the parts stores could find it. even the good one

CW & FMX iron case transmissions have the dipstick tube in the case.

FX, MX, HX, and PCA iron case transmissions have the dipstick tube in the pan.

All other Ford transmissions have an aluminum case.

From your picture I would guess you have a 1967 medium case Cruiso (MX). Check your tag. If it says PFB-A that is exactly what you have.
