I agree. I have had my flowmaster for almost 10 years now & its fine. Alot of guys knock them because they rust out too fast, but I dont have that problem.
Too bad I cant say the same for the dynomax I had. 6 months after I put it on, it came off the truck & went into the scrap pile. Total junk. Thats why im a little leery of the new ones. I hope the new ones are better built than the old ones, they sure do sound good on the 5.0 stangs on youtube.......
I've had my Flowmaster for over 10 years and it hasn't rusted hardly at all. As for Dynomax, I bought the Super Turbo HD a while back and I like it. It's quieter than the flowmaster. It is the heavy duty round truck/RV version. I'll just wait and see if it rusts out. I certainly hope not.
Here's the bump with the new raptor mufflers they empty out just behind the cab. I like the sound its really mellow at idle then when you give it gas it sounds good
Also that whining noise is coming from the trans and I can't figure out what it is.

Which Dynomax super turbos did you have and how long ago was that?
They were the old super turbos. They were the stamped style, not welded like the new ones. It was in 00' & I had one on my 95 F-150 I had for a short time (tranny issues). I remember it well, because the wife drove that truck everyday & beeched about the rattling every day......

I run flowmaster 40 series on mine ( 3" exhaust all the way ). I found the drone in the cab to be really bad. What I ended up doing was putting two section header inserts in along with the 40's ,and the sound is perfect. No more droan in the cab.
Maybe all you need is to add the header inserts. The inserts are normally a stand alone type of muffler for racing. They just slide in side the collector.

I learned long ago that the 3.5" slash cut tips will add lots of echo and sound to your exhaust. They make a big difference, especially when your running true duals.
