I agree with Dragon. I don't use the end gaskets! Good old silicone works best for me. Let it sit for 10 min and then install the intake. JMHO

Personally I hate cork. The real good gasket sealers will tear it on removal and if left in place for anytime cork will slowly weep (suck) oil to the outside.

i used "the right stuff" when you use that stuff you have to be ready to put the intake on cause in around 5 minutes that stuff sets... and when you put the intake on its best to have help or a hoist you DO NOT want the intake to slide front to back if you miss getting it set down carefully lift it a bit and move it.

that is what i have learned on fe moters as far as intake gaskets go.
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

yea the cork front and back gaskets aren't the ones to use. get the rubber ones that sit over the front and rear block ridge. then use silicone in the corners of where they meet the intake gaskets.

I am not aware of anyone making the rubber end seals for an FE, those do work great on Small Blocks at least for me.

The link I put up above for Fel Pro rubber.

To keep the manifold from sliding front to back slip the dizzy in and use it as an alignment tool so the manifold does not slide while you are trying to get the bolts set.

Oh yeah I have had those, don't like them, they aren't really what I think of as quality rubber... sort of like Fel Pros "rubber" valve cover gaskets.

Oh well, you guys keep using Fel Pro and silicone, I'll keep using Victor and cork...
