Po of my truck hit something and slightly bent both horns which is the frame. Whats the best way to bend them back. Thought a good torch and a 16lb sledge, but i have to get both in line so bumper will bolt up.
I am also concerned with the radiator support rubbers being real close, but i think i can rap a wet rag around it to absorb the heat.
Any suggestions
You might want to pull the front clip, it isn't bad with a helper. Then just start measuring and straightening. I pulled square from the front cross member and got the bolt spacing correct and everything was koposetic when I bolted it all back together.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.
Thanks wb3 the horns are off about 1/4-1/2 inch. I'm hoping i can get them straight or close without having to do that front clip removal. Will keep you posted.
i have always wanted to take a car or truck and weld some hugh spikes on the front of it. that would make people think twice about cutting you off. if you could stop from being pulled over every five minutes.
Same here. I sometimes wish i had an old beat up 4x4 with a big cattle guard bumper so i could plow into those people that cut you off or not yield when your comong off the freeway. Of course i wouldn't want to hurt anyone, just scare the heck out of them
a bumper like this kinda what you have in mind??
Its up side down to how it accually goes... thing weighs at least as much if not more than a manual transmission
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can. http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u223/imabaka70/ Projects listed on the left side
WOOOT!! i passed my mechanics classes. Now working as a mechanic and waiting to go for my ASE certifications.
I bent these horns on my '70 F100. My bro used a torch and large sledge and it did the trick. It turned out perfect! Just make sure to measure everything a few times to make sure it's back in line. Good luck!
