Post by tybob81 »

I lost the paper I had written down what axle shafts from what 28 spline cars will work in our trucks to change the bolt pattern.
1968 swb hydroboost, ididit tilt column, Saginaw p/s pump with F series serpentine, all led lights, Vintage Air and painless wiring. 393w, tko600. CV front suspension w/c5 calipers and gt500 rotors. Stock Flexomatic leaf springs with 01 CV 8.8, 3.90 gears and Auburn locker. Custom wood bed floor. Full frame off resto-mod.

From what I've been told, "...you need 2 driver's side axles and drums from a 1977-79 T-bird, 73-79 Cougar or Montego, 72-79 Torino, Ranchero, or LTD II. They are the right length and have 28 splines."

I haven't personally tried this, so I can't verify it's accuracy. But if you try this, please follow up to this thread with an update.
