460 question

Post by OldRedFord »

Would it be wise to go to stud mounted rockers on a iron head?

The cam I am running is 530 lift, and springs are 300# open pressure

I had asked on the 460 website but never really got a answer.

I must not be understanding what you're asking, 'cause 460 rockers are already stud-mounted. :hmm:

D3VE heads have bolt on rockers. Which is what I have.
Now D0VE heads have the studs from the factory.

Stud mount with rollers and guide plates. I'm just guessing, never built one myself.

I left a good set of C8 heads in Texas because I didn't want to pack them around, paid $50 for them at a swap meet.
