I know this subject has came up before but couldn't find anything on it.
I have a '69 F-100 with front disc brakes with '74 spindles on DJM beams. What I want to do is put some Weld Draglites or Prostars on the truck. Of course Weld does not make these wheels with 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern. I plan on putting a set of Moser axles in the rear end and they can drill the flanges to whatever bolt pattern I want. The front is where the problem is. I've heard someone say that you can put car discs with smaller bolt pattern on the truck using the '70's spindles.
Is there a way or has anybody put a set of front discs from a car on a bump? If this is possible what year and make of vehicle do I need to ask for when buying new discs from the part store?

Re: Car discs on a bump
I'd heard that some full-size car setups or the 80s 1/2-ton setup would work and relayed that info in previous threads. Others took that info and ran with it, only to find out it's not possible. Here are the threads I believe you're looking for:

I believe your only option is to find a machine shop who will redrill your rotors to the new bolt pattern....or use some adaptors.

Re: Car discs on a bump
Thanks for the links Keith. I read all the posts in both links and from what I read, there is no front discs from a car or later model truck that will swap over to a '67-'72 f100.

Re: Car discs on a bump
Is it possible to weld up stock rotors and and redrill for other lug patterns?

Re: Car discs on a bump
You don't have to weld them up. Just drill a different set of holes. I'm also into 89-97 tbirds. One of the good brake upgrades is to go to 13" discs (cobra discs) and use a cobra caliper, well to do that, we have to re-drill cobra discs (4.5x5 pattern) to the tbird pattern (4.25x5). No big deal.

Re: Car discs on a bump
I had my rotors and drums redrilled for a 5 on 5 pattern it cost me $150.00 @ a local machine shop.
