Glad to see poeple are having good luck with the AOD trannies. I have only had 2 of them in previous trucks & they were garbage. But, I have always been a big fan of the C6 , so I guess im bias.
Had a warmed over 302 in a 95 truck & it busted the AOD out of it in a month.
Good to see folks making these adapters. It really helps the hobby out alot!!

Re: AOD general info including how to mount behind an FE
By 95, I highly doubt that it would've been an AOD. I could be wrong but the only autos that I've seen in 94-96 trucks are E4ODs (Ford had a lot of problems with them), AOD-Es, and 4R70Ws. If it was a 4x4 truck, I'm 99% sure that it was an E4OD.papabug71 wrote:Had a warmed over 302 in a 95 truck & it busted the AOD out of it in a month.

The AOD pan says metric but so do the AODE/4R70W and the E4OD pans.papabug71 wrote:Hmmm. Im not too sure. I only had that truck for a couple of months so I didnt get too into it.

The big giveaway is the Automatic Overdrive script on the 2wd pans and the completely blank 4wd pans with a small deeper sump under the filter.
I'm actually pursuing a mechanical engineering internship with UP out here in LA.
