Tranny cooler

I am putting a trans cooler in my truck and was wanting to know if it would help to also use the cooler in the rad. also. If so do I go though rad then new cooler or vice versa.

What state do you live in?
In states where it doesn't get too cold in the winter, but really hot in the summer, you should run it through the radiator, then through the aftermarket cooler.
In states where the summers aren't too bad, but it gets really cold in the winter, you should run it through the aftermarket cooler, and then through the radiator. The reason for this is that you need a certain amount of heat for the tranny fluid to perform properly. Running it through the radiator, then through the aftermarket cooler will cool the fluid off too much in colder weather, and it can be bad for your tranny.
So it depends on where you live.

If you want a nice looking installation that won't eat up rubber lines you may want to consider a cooler that has threaded fittings. Use steel lines with double flare ends and get a tubing bender. The finished product looks a lot nicer. My
