I just can't seem to win. my 67 doner truck, got it started today and drove it around the block. Seems to shift good in all gears except 2nd to 3rd, have to stop to shift into 3rd. What's wrong with it maybe a synconizer Also alittle noisey in third. Searched the dfw area all day for a doner 3 speed and drive shaft no luck. I'M so fustrated at this point i'm not sure what to do.
How hard or costly is the t-18 to overhaul At least with this doner truck i have everything i need to get my 70 back on the road. Just don't what the blank to do

Hey redcap thanks for the reply. You seem to know some about the t-18 and say it's easy to rebuild. iv'e never rebuilt a tranny and looking at the rebuild instructions i will need some bearing pullers etc, or is there ways to get around buying tools i may only use once. Please educate me. Thanks!

Sometimes, your local auto parts shops will rent out those tools you only need once. Never hurts to ask if they will, that way you don't have to spend a ton of money on them. Also, check with forum members in your area! This place is full of great people and most of us are very willing to help if we can!peanutman wrote:Hey redcap thanks for the reply.
