Hey Guys,
How do you go about removing the shift linkage arm from the tranny...
Not the bar, but the arm itself.
I tried to remove the arms today without any luck...
I just ended making a huge mess with the tranny fluid...
I removed the nut, and the outer arm came off no problem, but I could not get the inner arm off.
I'm thinking I need to pull the pan or something, but I don't wanna do that where it is.
Thank guys,
KaptnKA S

Kaptn, to remove the shift lever you have to drop the pan and remove the valve body first.Click on the first link Binder posted.Pick step 6.It shows which bolts to remove to get the valve body out.Once its out you can get a wrench on the nut that holds the shift lever.
BTW, be careful when laying parts down.Autos have a zero tolerance level for dirt.

re: Question about C6 shiftarm removal ???
Hey RTG_RACING
It's not for me, OldRedFord is looking for the shift and kick down arms from a C6.
I told him I had them, and do, I thought both arms cae off by removing the nut that holds the outer arm on... but it doesn't.
I have the kick down rod and the shift rod that goes from the arm on the column to the arm on the tranny.
If you could send him a PM he'll give you the info.
I think he's trying to covert from manual to auto or bought a truck that didn't have a tranny...
Thank you
KaptnKA S
