help i.d. ing a manual transmition

Ok in one of the part trucks that i have has what i thought was a c6 BUT turned out to be what i think is a np435??

btw reverse is over and down
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Looks like it. Clean that crud off the top cover and it should be marked np inside a circle. :thup: Here is some info on it.

It's a NP, the shift pattern along with the aluminum top confirm that.

Do you know what the heck the PO was trying to do? It almost looks like he began a conversion, the truck has the AT column and no clutch pedal. But the tranny mound and exhaust system are torched off. It almost looks like a conversion to an AT, but either way, why torch the exhaust system? odd.

he said that he was in the middle of restoring and just had set the engine in there to get to work on later then his kid wanted the garge and pushed the truck out side with out the hood on with the engine just setting in there and it ruined the engine

the truck was originally a G code on the vin so i think he was gonna make it a manual
