fwd crossmember
I am having trouble reinst. my fwd x-member after a tranny rebuild. Is there any tips on how to get that thing back in there?

Kind of late I guess but make sure you are not putting it in backwards. Only goes one way

I always used a porta power to relieve a little tension to aid with removal and install. Don't get carried away.

I wouldn't leave that off for anything, it's there to brace the frame where it supports the radius arm mounts. Without it you're going to stress the frame, not to mention wreck your alignment.

To get it back in you can "shave off" a little on each end with a grinder and use a BFH to "adjust" it back into place
