Driveshaft Length

Post by 68BigRed »

I probably should know this, but.....is the driveshaft directly interchangeable, regardless of rearend? I need to replace the Dana-60 5-lug (in my '68 longbed) with a 9-inch (not my first choice, but I just need to get the thing driveable so I can quit paying storage on it!). It will be a LOT easier if I can re-use the original driveshaft.

:yt: Measuring from the center of each yoke will probably be the most accurate :2cents:

That would work, if the donor truck wasn't a stripped-out junker (nothing to measure!). I'm a LITTLE smarter than that! :D
