T-case question?

Post by 04stangman »

Hey guys, I have a 1969 F250 with a NP 205 transfer case. Me question is on the top rear of the tcase there looks like there used to be something connected to two nipples? There is one pretty much on the top rear, it looks like its a fitting for a rubber hose or something and the tube is sealed shut with something. And the other on it on the top, driver side rear, it looks like it might be a cable fitting? but there is nothing connects to either one? Any ideas on what if anything should be connected to me transfer case? Thanks!

I beleive on the 205 one would be for a vent hose, the other would be where a 4WD indicator switch would go.
But shouldn't that be a Dana 24 in that truck?
But then again, the automatic shouldn't be there either

You sure it's a 205? If it's the stock one, in 69 I'm pretty sure it's a Dana 24.

I thought based off the pictures I have seen it looks like a NP 205?

Dana 24 should have the ID tag on the driverside lower case.
No pic.

The 205 would be front bottom.
