I have a 75 Chevy 3/4 ton four wheel drive chassis with a bell housing, four speed tranny and a 205 transfer case and both axles. It's one of the figure 8 transfer cases with the solid adapter bolted between it and the tranny.
Can this transfer case be configured to work in my 70 Ford 3/4 ton or is the 205's for the Fords different?
I may eventually want to replace the transfer case in the old Ford and from what I've read here the 205 is the way to go. It'd be nice if I could just use the one I have already.
Here's a pix of what I've got.

It will not work. Chevy 205's are passenger offset. Not only that, but the splines and bearings are all different. The case you have their is the GM 10 spline small bearing case.
Ford mated 205's are all 31 spline big bearing input and 32 spline output. All Ford transfercases are driver offset.
