they both have some good qualitys .....and bad
the 69' needs very little to get it certified.....has a rusty box and outer body http://www.fordification.com/galleries/ ... ?album=217
the 72' has a good body but needs a lot of rust repair under the cab
http://www.fordification.com/galleries/ ... ?album=218
i think i will turn the 69' into my driver and the 72' will be the project
i may have found a cab for it with 1/4 less floor rust($200)
for now i will borrow from the 72 for the 69 just to get it going
the 69 was a race truck ....the 9" rear end was shortend and it has traction bars i may turn it back into that later
to be ....or not?

re: to be ....or not?
i'm not sure but i think they came out of a old ford van (a custom job)
they have arm rests and a small center seat .
they need to be re-upholsterd and deloused , the mice have been living in that truck for about 8 years(thats how long it sat in a field)
which brings me to the unfoutunate conclusion that it can't be used for a driver ,the elements have not been kind to it ,the front end would need a complete rebuild ,there is no wiring harness to the motor from the cab.
but it has a dana 60 rear end not a ford 9" like i first thought.
this truck had a turbocharged 396 chevy engine at one time and was raced on a quarter mile raceway.
the point of my story is it is only good for parts now, but the cab can be saved ,it has little rust so i'm back to 1 truck for now.
