prices vary from location to location. a wide guess would be 500-1000. i dont really know. they are pretty simple to rebuild yourself.

Did you check your carrier bearing and mount like was suggested in another reply to another of your posts? Did you check your u-joints? Did you check to see if your yolks are tight? Did you check to see if your torque converter bolts haven't loosened up? Do you read peoples replies to your posts?

I'd shudder too if someone threatened to de-ball me and turn me into a hybrid.

What trans do you have? C6's and C4's are easy to rebuild. Buy yourself a rebuild book, a few tools and save yourself a ton of dough...

You need to check your complete drivetrain... I had a U joint going out on a drive shaft, and you would have thought, the transmission was gone... I am a firm believer in having an extra one in the tool box at all times now... But get up underneath the truck, and check it all out... If you have take the rear tires of the ground, (Be Careful With This) and let the wheels turn at an idle in 1st gear. See if you can find the location of the noise. Just my thoughts on this, and what I would do!!!

Check your U-joints first. and if thats not it. Rip that Slushbox outof there and put a standard in.
