I've parted out a LOT of these trucks, and they've all had the same kind of door scuff plate. However, the '67 F250 I just parted out has a slightly different style. Here's a picture of what I mean. On top in all three views is the style in every other truck I've seen...but on the bottom is the style from the '67. Notice there are many little differences:

First of all, the end that hooks up to the front kick panel area on most scuff plates has a provision for a hold-down screw. The one from my '67 doesn't have this. In the middle view you can see the minor differences in the ribs...they're a little fatter and not as defined as the top example. The view on the right shows how much shorter it is at that end, without the channel that goes over the lip in the door opening.
Can those of you with a '67 check and see if yours has the shorter bottom style, and if so, give me the month of production? The VIN plate on this truck shows it was assembled in November '66, the fourth month of production. I'm just curious if the early production date has anything to do with it. They're definitely not a '66 item though...their scuff plates are completely different.
