Howdy!
very pleased to find your site!
i've just re-acquired my old 67 F250.
purchased in about 1986 - 2nd owner - sold to our son's highschool buddies in 98. since then they've re-painted (plum color), rebuilt the C6, top end of the 352 and diff. apparently they enjoyed "smoke shows"
Just drove it from Modesto to Phoenix over the weekend.
avg 15mpg at about 65 mph. MAN what a beast!
will post a few pics as soon as i blow all the cobwebs off.
well - i sit corrected and a bit dissapointed.....
got home-parked the motorcycle - jumped in the truck to head to the store. ARGH!!!! transmission slips so badly in forward gears!!!! (reverse is ok - it pops right in). amazing that i just drove it 800 miles 2 days ago!
<sigh>
thought maybe it's band adjustment (hope hope)
hmm - not a C6, not a C4 - it's a FMX.....
guess i'll tackle it this weekend..

Another welcome from California!
Cool that you got the old girl back - sucks though, that you're having tranny issues already. Look at it as a chance for you two to get 're-acquainted'...
Seriously, though - this is the place for help and advice from folks who know every nut, bolt, and rust spot on these trucks.
Don't hesitate to ask for help.
