Do the Hurst. A few years ago, I was having problems with my column shifter, so I got a Mr Gasket from Autozoo and installed it. Was not very sturdy and had some flimsy thrust bearings in it(looked like cellaphane), then I installed a T5 so no more need for the flimsy shifter.

I have a New Old Stock Hurst 3 speed floor shifter for 1965 through 1972 Ford trucks. Shifter is still in the original box. let me know if you are interested, can save you some money, also have a factory floor shift steering column.
