OK here it goes I was wondering how hard it would be to go from a cruse o matic tranny to somthing like a T-18 or equivalent id rather have a manual than a auto. I think i would have to have the Tranny , the bellhousing, the drive shaft, the clutch and brake pedal asembelies that would work in my 67 and all the clutch hardware.....
Although i could just go to a c-6 cause isnt that a auto??
Cause hopefully when i start auto motive this fall i can do some work on this 41 year old battle tank
Any thoughts??

transmition question
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Nuttin wrong with a cruisomatic if that's what you have and you want to keep the slushbox. If its got problems, find a shop that can rebuld it.
For a manual, well unless you are doing serious work, I agree that a t-18 is not the right choice. There are some other 4 speed and 5 speeds out there that can be had that are better choices -- do a search as the exact details are not my forte -- I gave up and went with a C4. Sorry, but my t-18 and all the clutch stuff is not for sale though.....

65 f-100 SWB, 240 I6, T-18, now swapped to C4 with difficulty. Yeah, I know. Its a 67-72 site. But my frame and entire drive train are just like yours!!!!

re: transmition question
Just make sure you get one made for a truck, that'll have the bolt-on driveshaft yoke for your two-piece driveshaft.
You'll also need the correct radiator with the built-in transmission cooler, as well as the cooling lines and a new steering column and linkage (unless you go with an aftermarket floor shifter). You'll also need to hook up the transmission's vacuum modulator to a vacuum source on the intake, so you'll need the tee that screws into the intake manifold and the hard vacuum line that runs down to the modulator.
