Hi.

I have a B&M Megashifter.

It has a cable for moving the shift lever, also comes with different levers.

It needs a small hole for the cable to pass through.

Hello Worldsmysterie
If you go to my link at the bottom, the putfile link that is, you will beable to see what and where the cable goes. Mine is a C6 tranny and the cable is a red one, so look for the tranny pics with the red cable and you will see what is involved routing and connecting the cable to the tranny. Make sure that the cable is away from anything hot. If it passes close to anything hot, then do like I did, I made a heat shield.
If you go to an interior pic you will see that I have a B&M truck shifter.

dave,

I've got the B&M truck shifter, (it'll go in when I put the C-6 into my bump).
I also owned a B&M quicksilver in my dent for several years.
If the z-gate is like the other B&M's you should have adjustment on the cable on both the tranny and the shifter end.

Gotta love em' Easy to install, easy to find parts for and easy to maintain.

Jeff, You must have great luck. I hate those stinking things. Any cable shifter is the biggest POS that was ever made. My '69 stang had 18" worth of 1/4" extensions for a shifter for a month waiting for an replacement cable to show up and when it did it wouldn't shift in any gear when you wanted it. The guy at the speed shop who actually knew a thing or two (had two original Thunderbolts) said they were originally designed for Chevies and worked really well (the arm ratios were setup for Chevies and didn't work well with Fords)
