Im confused. The "ear" on the column rotates, correct? So between that rotating somehow the rod moves back n forward to shift.

I think.

EDIT

I think what I need is calld the "bell crank assembly" and the shift rod.

Here's mine... note the bend is less thsn fordman's and has a threaded adjuster.

Nausea,

That is different, (never seen one with the threaded end like that). All my dents looked like Fordmans, (and had no adjustment) which would be nice.

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!

Some of the later model trucks used a bell crank set up on the automatic trannies.
Just hit the junk yards for the parts you need.

So on the bumps there was no bell crank set up, just the one rod?
Hows the shifter on your C6 set up?
