just applied it today, anybody have experience with this to let me know what to expect. the directions call for 3 to 4 thin coats i got 4 in some places but ran out of time to do it everywhere. looking at it now it does what it says turns the rust into a grayish black substance.

I used to use that on aircraft tube fuselages, and always had good luck with it... If I remember, we used to spray it on with a small sprayer bottle.

How hard is it to sand this stuff off once it has dried and turned black?

It'll sand just fine.
