internal c6 ?

Post by craftsman »

Does anyone know if the c6 from a 300 six would have fewer clutches than a v8 c6?
I know the c4 six trans has fewer clutches than a v8, so i was wondering if it was true with c6.

I have never heard of any difference other than input shafts and bellhousings. However I am no expert. Even if there is a difference, any 300 6 transmission should handle a stock small block engine that will bolt to it. Hope my info is right and helps somehow.

There are different snap ring grooves in the clutch drums to allow for varying number of clutch discs.
