Yes it would. I'd suggest you grab it if you can as they are getting harder to come by.The folks with the 87-96 trucks like to swap them in place of the IFS front axles.

44s are wimpy for serious thrashing/big tires but that disc one is hard to find. Especially "highboy" which is only 1 full year production and a few months of another. I can't tell by the picture if it is in fact a low pinion from a "highboy" but that name gets thrown at trucks which technically aren't.
Personally it would actuall be better if it was a high pinion from the later 70s. They get alot better clearance under the front driveline, which is the weakest point of those old highboys imo. I cratered several of those front drivelines from making contact with the ground.

I busted the one on my 74 F-250 3 times while it was still under warranty and that included braking it in half once after doing about a 2 foot crowhop through a ditch at 40. I still say they aren't up to serious use with big tires. But if you aren't doing serious off roading and wfo they seem to hold up ok for most guys.

I guess I can see how breaking one in half could put a bad taste in your mouth for 44's.

I had snapped the balljoints in my narrowed 44 once.

Wanna be dumb, gotta be tough...

Launched the Bronco up a hill, (the front wheels were 4-6 feet off the ground).
Had to stay on the gas hard to climb the hill, and was a little too slow to let off the gas.

SNAP! Both sides, and also twisted both the "short shafts".

I still love my 44's as they perform what I ask of them, (I've got two of them now).
