Anybody have the Mr Gasket 3-spd floor shifter in their truck?
Does it work? I think mine is broke.

Had that shifter in mine for a short time, then installed a T5. Seemed to be alright, but not to be abused.

If it's the same one I had (#7667) it's OK but nothing to brag about. Put one in my '70 when the column shift started locking up. Lasted about 2 yrs then the center pin that controls the shift arms wore slap off! Put another one on it out of desperation but I'm not happy with it. If you can afford, get the Hurst MasterShift. More expensive but much better made. If you go with the Mr. Gasket, hang on to your shift levers, the one's that come with it are crappy! Use your old ones or make some new ones. The "universal" ones aren't!

I added this reply to a different post, but it will apply here too.
Just a word of advice. Spend the extra money and go with a better Hurst shifter and the correct linkage kit. I have the $119 Hurst Universal Floor shift for trucks and it works about as smoothly as wiping your nose with a
pinecone. Spend the extra $$$.

I agree. The Hurst MasterShift I found was $189 and you had to buy the mounting kit separate, another $139. Couldn't afford it at the time but it "looked" real strong.
