leaking rear end and t-case 67 f100

i have a 67 f100, the rear end is the 9 inch, its leaking from the seal right before the yoke, its also leaking on the t-case were the drive shaft goes to the back. my ? is would bad u joints case this or are they known to go out. and can i get the gasket for the rear end and the seal for the t-case at auto zone. the t-case is a NP 205 if that helps
im young so i don't want to throw parts at it if some one has some wisdom on this thanks

Yep a vibration will eat up the seals on both ends or they just may be worn out and weathered.Auto should have them if not go to a Napa or CAP, would be helpful to have already pulled both seals so they can match #'s so try to not destroy them on removal. Checking the bearings is a good idea too. While you do this you should check both ends for proper levels of gear oil.

I'd replace the seals and u joints and if you feel any vibration at all have the driveshaft balanced for safe measure. You may have to buy the correct socket for the nuts in the rear and the t-case their over 1in if I remember.

to check your ujoints. you can usually hear them. when they are bad. but take your drive shaft and twist it with your hand while the truck is shut off and the truck in park or with the parking brake on. if you can move the drivesahft at all without anything else moving then the ujoint is worn and needs replaced.
