transmission swap, standard to auto
hi all. i have a 67 f100. i'm thinking of changing the standard 3 on the tree ( now on the floor ). to an auto trans. was the c4 the stock one in 67's. and can a c4 auto plug right on. thanks. steve

A C6 came in our trucks. A C4 is more of a car trans. What engine do you got?

you also have to watch out which tailhousing it has on it. if it has a long tailshaft it is for a car or slip joint driveshaft. if its short then its a truck or bolt on yoke type of tail housing. you need the one to match your drive shaft. or get your driveshaft remade. you may also have to shorten your shaft anyway depending on several things i dont know about your truck.
