Not sure Chris with that housing but with the right bellhousing don't see why it wouldn't work. if you've got the coins it would be worth grabbing tho. heck the clutch set up is worth what he's asking

it looks like its from a car to me. its a toploader. if you get the numbers from it you can look it up on this site as to what it is exactly.

you might have to change the lenght of your driveshaft. im unsure on that. i know you would need a slip joint shaft to put it in though.

i've got a one piece slip yoke out of a 66 f100 long bed that i can have cut down or what ever. i just wonder if i can find a bell housing to work with this setup and if the tranny will be ok in a truck.

if its a car bellhousing it will work with that trans. the car bellhousings are 6 inches deep. the truck bellhousings are 6 1/2 deep. unless your needing a 352 bellhousing and it fits something else.

Weren't the overdrive trannies from 68 a two piece type affair?

The T-85 would basically be a 3 speed with an overdrive unit bolted on it.

If this is a car 3 spd+od then it would be from a lot newer car like a 79-82 grananda, or fairmont.

If that is the case I can get one of them from a local yard for 50 bucks.

There was a car 3 + OD in early 60's Falcons with 170 sixes. I don't know what they look like though.

If left in its current location, the shifter would be under your seat.

Looks like the shifter is in about the same place as a T5, which would put it just at the front of the seat and could easily be "adjusted".
