FYI Tranny Fluid Change............

Post by 04stangman »

So, I did my tranny fluid this weekend, It was not so had except for one thing besides the mess. On the tranny fluid filter where the screen is its raised about 1/4 inch, with a little screen and a rubber fitting around it. The one that Napa sold me had about 1/2 inch raise on it so the tranny pan would not fit after I installed the new filter. So, if you are like me running a stock pan make sure that the filter is only about 1/4 inch high................. I had pull the new filter off after I installed it, to go back to Napa to get a new filter half way through the change. it sucked!

From what I've heard there are a couple of different pan depths available on the C6's, they obviously got the wrong filter for your pan depth.
