5 Speed question...

Post by WPAskate »

Okay I have read about people putting a T-5 behind their 300. Well does anyone know if the T-5 can handle a 352? If not any good trans because im not a fan of the three speed.

The bellhousing mounting bolt pattern is the biggest trick, it's different from the 4 speeds. As far as 'handling a 352' it all depends on how hard you are on the tranny. Most T5's blow apart from abuse, which dang near any tranny will. If you want an easier solution go with the 3550 Tremec, smae pattern as the T19 etc and it'll hold up better.

NP435, T-18 or T-19 all fit perfectly.

I never had a t-19, I have a t-18 in my 1 ton, and NP in my 3/4 ton. I have seen NP in 1 tons to. They all are strong. They are easy to find.
