Dana 60 front end rebuild specs?

Post by Ranchero50 »

Buddy bought a '88 F350 with a diesel, five speed, 4x4 with budd wheels dump truck with a Dana 60 under the front that had a minor wheel wobble on the drivers side. Once in the air the edge of the tire moved in and out about an inch with everything still together. Tore it apart and it looks like antisieze inside and I haven't been able to get the spindle nut off yet so I was looking for something to read up on these since this is my first one. The PO just had a new rotor put on this side so who knows what happened when they did that.

you lucky dog...I've been wanting one of those for years to go under my truck..running about $1500 here for a almost serviceable one.

Thanks, the kingpins apear fine, the rotor / hub assy bearing preload spanner nut backed off and bad poop happened inside. He has another 60 down at the farm, but want to fix this one instead of swap out the assy.
