What do I look for to id wheather I have the C4 or C6 attached to the 360 in my 68 F250?

its probably a c6 hooked to that engine in that isze of truck the way to tell a c6 is the pan is almost suare but at one corner the pan has whats called a dog leg thing. it more of a bump out on the pan. the c4 is a totally square pan

The C has a bellhousing cast into the tranny. The C4's had removable bellhousings. If yoy have an FE, you don't have a C4 unless a PO put it there.

Whoa that was quick, Thanks! Next thing I'd like to find out pertains to the water leak into the cab from rain running down into the cowl vents just below the windshield. I have the catalogs from MAC's and LMC. They have a cowl lacing kit. But would that take care of the leak assuming the metal is in good shape? Finally if that is the fix, where in the site would I get some info on what is involved in getting the lacing installed. Help... glub glub, from the Oregon coast.

it just snaps ointo place i think is what eveyone has said. i havent done it. i dont know.
