I just got a complete factory A/C system from the U-Pull for $75. The truck was a '72 with 360. I got the "suitcase" unit from under the dash, controls (which are a little hacked up), all front engine brackets (just unbolted the WP from the front of the engine), steel fuel line, compressor and bracket with two support rods, A/C lines (one's shot), the four rubber plugs on the fire wall to plug off the standard heater mounting holes and non-A/C heater hose holes. I also took the firewall pad and the air vent housing that exits the truck through the righ side kick panel under the dash.
The fan is a fiberglass unit. I haven't checked yet for a Ford PN. There was not fan clutch either. Did the A/C-equipped trucks use a fiberglass fan, or was this an aftermarket unit that someone bolted on?
The Condenser and dryer were shot, so I didn't take them. Could I get these off of a '73-'79 truck?
Is there anything else I'm missing to change from non-A/C to factory A/C? Is the wiring harness/fuse block different? Is the front crank pulley unique to the A/C equipped trucks?
I also traced a template to cut the new holes in the firewall if anyone is interested I can send you a copy.

I'll get a pic and post it. Fortunately the bumpsides only require a couple of holes to be drilled in the firewall--one for the A/C lines and one for each heater hose, unlike the dentsides which require a huge hole to be cut.

Yes, one hole will have to be cut along the top/center of the firewall, for the A/C lines. I'm installing a factory A/C setup in my '67 as well, so I've already cut that hole, but drilled out the new heater hose holes, which are lower than those already drilled for a non-A/C truck.
NO trucks have a plastic fan, so that's been added on by a previous owner. The dryer should always be replaced anyway, any time the system is opened up.
