light behind heater controls

Post by 69twotone »

Does anyone know was there alight behind the heater controls on the 69 model that would illuminate the controls? I have not had a chance to dig around in there and thought I would ask before I did so.

yes i think all the trucks had that. your bulb might be burnt out. you can reach under the dash and remove the light socket. or if your radio is out you can remove it from the radio hole.

i have a small little loose light bulb that is connected to a wire under my dash. it is currently hanging under my glovebox. is this light suppose to go behind the controls? i though it was for lighting the glove box.

BUT, put a fresh bulb in while it's out because it's kinda hard to reach and get in and out. I forget the size though, and can't remember if it's same as the ones behind the dash or not. I was tickled when I put mine in, you will be too. Banjo.

Thanks guys, gbrett wish I would have seen your post earlier. I was miffed when I replaced the bulb and it woud not work. It touched the metal on the dash and lit up and I figured it was shorted. I put it back in the hole because it was getting dark and it lit up (how about that) wish I would have seen your post (before I started) originally. Of course worse than that the first bulb was fine I had unplugged the wire when installinga new cd player. Sometimes I think I cause myself more problems than I started with oh well alls well that ends well.
