KYB Gas-A-Just Shocks

Post by Supermike »

Based upon the previous "Good Shocks?" discussion, I decided to go ahead and order the KYB Gas-A-Just shocks, per the recommendation of a few of you guys. Hope you're right!

Anyhow, got a pretty decent deal on them at Amazon.com at $43ea with free shipping... I could have saved another $2 and gotten them from Summit Racing, but I trusted Amazon's return/replacement policies better. Home I'm right! :)

Too bad shocks aren't like shoes, where you can try them on and walk (drive) around a while before you buy them.

Now I just hope the charts I found at KYB and other sites (including Amazon) are right with regard to the fit for my '67, and that being a Camper Special doesn't mean I've got some crazy setup that was only on 2,000 trucks or something. lol

On my 69 F-250 CS, there was no difference between CS and non-CS.
I love those shocks BTW!

i bought the gr-2's and really like them. i took my bump down to the lake of the ozarks last weekend and believe me, there is not a straight patch of road for the last 75 miles or so and the truck handled real well. next on my list is a front sway bar.

Yeah, the GR-2s are good shocks too.

I already installed the rear sway and that helped a TON!

Front sway should be within the next month or so.

Hellwig is what I have in the rear now.
1 1/8 inch both ends.
Pt # 7422 Front.
Pt # 7403 Rear.

I may be able to get a pic of my rear sway tomorrow.

It's a chromoly bar and it's hammertone coated.
It's a top notch piece as far as sway bars go.
