Unable to view "post since last visit"
For some reason, even though I have the "remember me" box checked, when I come to the site I am not automatically logged in.
When I do log in, the 'view posts since last visit' counter is 0.
Any suggestions? This keeps me from getting my fordification fix!.

re: Unable to view "post since last visit"
I have the same problem at another forum I belong to. I thought maybe it was my cookies settings but all the other forums work fine. Post up if you figure it out.

I was able to respond to one thread and no others. I logged out back in and now this will be my first attempt since. I just replied to another thread OK but I still cannot reply to a thread I started a few days ago.

I am having problems with IE and Firefox...
I see this on the login page:
Warning: shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/oldsmo2/public_html/ford/forum/includes/page_tail.php on line 35
could this be part of the cause?

Re: Unable to view "post since last visit"
I agree that it appears to be a problem with your browser cookies. I regularly check the site and forums out with Firefox, IE and Google Chrome, and never have issues staying logged in.
I'd clear your cookies in each browser you use (look to make sure they're actually deleted), and then make sure that if there's a check box to allow session cookies, you select it. Also, some browsers have a place where you can manually enter in a URL to always allow...I have http://www.fordification.com entered into these areas. Here are the settings in my browsers:
FIREFOX:
Tools > Options
Privacy
Accept Cookies from Sites (checked)
Accept Third-party Cookies (checked)
Keep until: They Expire
INTERNET EXPLORER
Tools > Internet Options
'Privacy' tab > Click the 'Sites' button and enter 'fordification.com' and then hit 'Allow' button. Then hit the 'Advanced' button, select 'Override automatic cookie handling', then:
First-party cookies ('Accept' selected)
Third-part cookies ('Accept' selected)
Allows allow session cookies (selected)
GOOGLE CHROME
Options > 'Under the Hood' tab
Cookies settings: Allow all cookies

I have never seen this error message. I visited the log-in page with all three browsers, and see no error message, everything looks OK on my end.mrsnicks wrote:I am having problems with IE and Firefox...
