front shoes

Post by coletrain777 »

I was wondering where you guys buy front shoes for a F100? I have a 71 and none of the local parts stores carry them (not even special order). Should I even bother putting new shoes on it, or just get disk brakes? Anyway, just thought it was strange that none of the parts stores carried them.

They have all kinds of stuff for our trucks.
But if you can find a donor truck for disc brakes, take the whole front suspension, plus the MC and booster, and the proportioning valve, and the front brake hose brackets. Then it's a bolt on for your truck.

That is hard to believe. Dont they have runners who can bring some from a central warehouse? Anyway, print it out on the computer (Autozone, Napa, Schucks, etc,) and take it down there and ask when you can pick em up. If they give you a line talk to the manager. What store did you go to. What area do you live in?

No one should have any problem with those.

That ought to be easy.

I just bought all new parts for the rear brakes on the F-250. The guy was looking for the drums in this little thin box. I was like, "dude, the box has to be thiiiiiiiis big.!"

When they came in from order, one of the counter kids assumed I was rebuilding a dually.
