Does anybody have a picture of the retaining clip used on my 67 FE with a T18. It seems there should be a clip to hold the lever in place, and searching the forum threads it's implied, by there's no forum threads I can find specifically about this clip. I'd like to rig one up myself if I just knew what mine was supposed to look like. There is a spring-like thing riveted to the arm, but I assume that's just there to accept the clip. Please advise as soon as possible. I'm on my last week of vacation and I'm trying to get my new engine installed and every time I clean a part I find something else broken/worn or missing. I'm running out of TIME!
Thanks

re: Clutch lever arm retainer
The new rubber boot I have was doing a pretty good job of holding it in place too, but I always see clips on all other clutches I've done. I'd just like to do it right if I can.

Sounds like part of the clip is broken off. If it is the cast throwout lever, there should be a kind of two finger piece riveted on to the arm partialy covering the socket, if you have the stamped type throwout arm, you should have a kind of u shaped clip to hold it to the pivot.

re: Clutch lever arm retainer
It's stamped steel. and there is a part riveted on, but it stops short of reaching the hole in the trunnion. I rigged up something last night after looking a picture of what they show in the catalogs (though for the life of me I don't see "that" working either), so I'm putting it in that way today. It was working without the clip, and really shouldn't go anywhere anyway one it's all together. I just got to get this done before the week is up or I loose my window of opportunity...
