have pictures , but do not know how to download (i'm 72). will get my son to show me how this weekend.

I have a 1 ton stake body and i am completely replacing the wooden bed, I have the new supports in place and will deck with 2 inch oak, painted and sealed on the back side with a natural varnished finish on the top side.

a ways to go,but i think it will be nice when finished.all bolts will be stainless

try to get some photos on line

I'd like to do same with my bed. It came to me with steel plate over somewhat rotted original wood. I just don't want to make the bed too nice to use.
