electrical and starting difficulties

Hello All,
So I went out to start my truck after about a week of sitting (I know, I know, she gets lonely) and when I turned the key, it turned over a few times, stopped, and I lost all electrical power. No lights, radio, nothing. I checked the battery, and it's charged. Then I checked the fuses and the little 2A one was blown. Odd, since I know the starter isn't running through that.

So I got some more fuses and as soon as I replace the little 2A fuse, the lights come back on, radio works, etc. But the very moment I turn the key, everything goes out and the 2A fuse blows again. Any ideas on what might be going on?

somewhere in that circuit, you are making ground, and blowing that fuse.

only way i know of fixing it is to start chasing wire. start with the places the wiring harness passes through metal. most likely something rubbed to the bare wire there.

i do believe they make a short finder, but i've never used one.

Well, it ended up being a slightly loose battery connection. Thanks for the help.
