2007 Rod & Custom Americruise 2007 pictures posted!
Well, I attended the 15th Annual Rod & Custom 2007 Americruise in Lincoln, NE today and ended up taking 473 pictures! Not all are useable, but most are.
Anyway, I spent the last several hours processing the pictures, and believe it or not I was able to get about 1/3 of the pictures processed and posted here. I wasn't just taking pictures of the Fords....I was snapping a little of everything, so it's a good mix. However, I'd still estimate that roughly 1/2 of the total pictures taken are of Fords, so don't flame me too much. I just took pictures of anything that caught my eye or had some element that I thought was neat and wanted to save and share.
Within the next couple of days I'll continue processing the remaining pictures and will get them posted. I'll update this thread as more pictures get posted.
Check them out at the following link:

Well, I've got another Americruise 2007 picture page posted....another 89 pictures to check out.
Here's the link:
2007 Rod & Custom Americruise Photo Gallery - Page 2
I mis-counted my picture collection when I said there would only be three pages worth of pictures. By keeping the count to between 80-90 pictures per page, there's going to be FIVE pages total.
Have fun!

No, his truck isn't running yet AFAIK...or at least streetable. The basic concept of the Americruise is a traveling car show anyway, so he wouldn't have had his truck there.Calvin Gunter wrote:Hey Keith, Did Grant have his build off truck there?

The third page of the Americruise 2007 Gallery has been posted....another 88 pictures to check out, plus one short 10-second video of a radically-chopped Ford Fairlane entering the grounds.
Here's the link:
2007 Rod & Custom Americruise Photo Gallery - Page 3
There's roughly another 150 to go, and they're cued up for processing next.

Great rides! I especially the "works in progress". Too many of these shows would look down on somebody bringing in something not "showroom quality".
Kudos!
Kudos!

Hey Keith...
Thanks for the rod show photos... they're great.
Gotta love the rat rods... and the Studebaker Avanti.
What a classy ride.. even now, it amazes me how far ahead of the times the Avanti was back in the day...
Wikipedia had this to say about the Avanti...
"During the summer and fall of 1962, Granatelli took several Studebakers to the Bonneville Salt Flats, including an R-3 Avanti in which he reached a record speed of 170.78 mph.
By the time he was done, Granatelli had set or broken 34 U.S. land speed records in the Avanti, allowing Studebaker to proudly proclaim it the "World's Fastest Production Car".
In addition to being fast, the Avanti led the domestic auto industry in the use of front caliper disc brakes (Dunlop discs produced under license by the Bendix Corporation)."
Sorry to say, I'd gladly take a 62-64 Avanti over a Mustang of any year...
I'd even take one of the Avanti II's (chevy playform) or better yet, a brand new one...
In 2004, they switched to using a Ford platfrom, keeping the cool original Avanti styling...
Now, you can special order them with any interior you want and and pretty much any drive train.
Take care,
KaptnKAOS
