'67 vs '72 differences
My Twin brother had his '67 (built in August of '67, number 215 out of Norfolk... fairly early truck I would say!) at my house the last couple of days. We noticed his heater control knobs are different than what's shown on the site (not like any shown). Also compared stuff to my '72. The underside of the hood is different. There are these brackets and rubber pads at the cowl to align the hood when it's closed (mine doesn't have these). The stone deflector is different (not just holes drilled for the marker lights as shown here, but shaped different below the marker lights). The rear upper shock mounts are different. He has adjustable steering stops on the front suspension. I'm sure there is more. Just curious if other '67s have this stuff?

re: '67 vs '72 differences
In regards to the hood bumpers, read THIS THREAD. It appears that this was an '67 thru early-'68 feature.
My '67 F100 didn't have an adjustable steering bumpstop...just a solid pin, but the '67 F250 I parted out did. These are the only '67s I've had access to, so I can't vouge for any others. It wouldn't be hard to drive the pin out, thread the hole and thread in a bolt and jam nut to make it adjustable.
As for the heater controls, you didn't mention what was different, but trucks with the basic heater didn't have the three controls below the radio, but instead had a single control below the instrument panel. (I should probably add that part to the ID page.)
I've never heard of the rear shock mount differences...can you post a pic? I'd be interested in seeing how they differ.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
My truck was built in August of 1966...I think Kraig fat fingered that! My truck is a Custom Cab...I'm not sure if that affects the heater controls or not. We noticed a few other differences. I retire from the USAF in June. When I move home we'll definitely take some pictures of the differences we find.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
Well, I beat you to the punch! I was at the shop today doing some cleaning and had the digital camera with me, so I got some good side-by-side comparison shots of the valance panels and hoods.
First of all, l have to thank you for bringing this to our attention. After comparing the valance panels, I find that there really is a BIG difference between them. To begin with:
Here's a shot of the turn signal area between the two. The '67 panel is on top, a '70 panel is on bottom. The '70-'72 had wider turn signal indicators, therefore the notch for them is 1-1/4" wider than the '67-'69 panels. Therefore, this means that the early panels will NOT work on a later truck...the turn signals wouldn't fit. You CAN use the later panels on an early truck, but there will be a 1-1/4" gap alongside the turn signal indicator.
Here's a shot of the valance panels' frame notch. It's almost not even noticeable, but the '70-'72 panels' notch is 1/4" wider than the '67-'69 panels.
It's also not very apparent in this picture, but the edges on the '67-'69 panels are much sharper than the '70-'72 panels. The later panels' edges are much softer (more curved). This really isn't critical unless you're trying to do a 100%-correct restoration...but just thought it worth mentioning.
Just for future reference, I just updated Page 2 of the Identifying 1967-1972 Ford Pickups tutorial with this info and these pictures.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
OK, here are the differences in the hoods (and yes, this info and these pictures have also been added to Page 2 of the ID page.) The hoods' outer skins appear to be identical thoughout all the '67-'72 trucks, but the inner bracing is a little different on the '67s.
The '68-up hoods' bracing had an additional hole that the '67s didn't have.
In addition, the side bracing is very slightly different, with the '68-up hoods having additional supports.
Also, '67 and early-'68 hoods had a small hood support bracket with a rubber pad which bolted to the firewall and supported the rear part of the hood. Late-'68 and up hoods didn't have this bracket, but an additional rubber bumper was added to the trailing edge of the hood.

My hoods aren't like any you picture here, there are no holes along the sides of the inner part.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
My '67 shocks have "eyes" on both ends and Kraig's '72 has an "eye" on the bottom and a stud on the top like the front shocks do.

Dont forget these may be an aftermarket replacement and not factory at all. My front fenders were aftermarket and made much thinner than factory. They have been replaced with Henry's originals.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
I seriously doubt the hood has ever been changed...and if it was, what are the odds the spare I got with the truck is an identical aftermarket part (for that matter, if he had the spare why would he bother buying an aftermarket hood?)? I'll try to get some pics of both of them.

re: '67 vs '72 differences
Not sure if this has been discussed but here's another difference- the cabs from 67-71 had the shoulder belt mount near the back window in the corners. At the start of 72 production, these holes were moved forward three or four inches.
