Tranny pan contents-warning big pics

Post by 69rangerman »

Dropped pan today in prepartion for cooler install and radiator replace. Not sure what I've got here.

1. Magnet had thin slurry of silt on it. Rest of pan did not have this.

2. Wiped up about 5 pcs like the one the toothpick is pointing at. Problem size?

3. The filter had pcs of something black and brittle stuck to it. You can see the biggest pc on this picture.

Any of this look familiar? Advice? Problems?

Thanks

That looks beautiful! Seriously, you're good to go. You usually need a shovel to scrape the shavings from a slushbox pan.

Really? Wow, that makes me feel a whole lot better. I was wondering if the large black pc was part of a band or something. Not like I have the time or money to drop it and take it in for repair anyway, but I wanted to know in case I had to start socking away the money.

Thanks averagef250.

I agree  if you had something really going bad it would look a LOT worse then that. That really looks clean to most...
I'm thinking some of those pieces may just be some of the valve body gasket, where it was extra outside the body and just got hard and fell off. :2cents:
I think your good to go 8)

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...
