I finally got my rear axle pulled out after 2weeks of soaking with wd-40 and pulling on it with a 1'' ratchet and cheater bar. The nuts holding the u-bolts on would not come off with a impact so i had to do it by hand. Luckily i didn't screw up the threads, so i can re-use the bolts and nuts.
Now ic an get it stuffed with 3.73's and try her out. if i like it i'll pull the front axle and throw the other set of 3.73's in it. and go from 3000 rpm's at 55 down to like 2300. and go from 10 mpg to 12-13.
pics soon.

re: Rear axle pulled
Yup, ya can usually see the ubolt "give" and the impact gets absorbed.
Since never a good idea to reuse ubolts, good ole smoke wrench works fer me. Even brand new ones used only once before already have stretched and have been weakened.
